I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I have served as Co-Chair of the Board of the Nashville Psychotherapy Institute, an area professional association of therapists, and I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

I see clients ages 11 and older with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting, grief and loss, and work-related issues.  Amanda specializes in adolescents, especially those with serious emotional disturbance and/or behavioral issues.  Her areas of expertise also include treating those who are neurodivergent, experience trauma, and/or Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)**, as well as substance abuse issues.

As an AuDHD individual, I embrace neurodivergence as an important part of my identity and work to educate other professionals about how being autistic is not a disorder that needs to be “cured”. I can help neurodivergent folks learn how to create spaces and processes that work for their needs.
